October 2018. cycle a section of frances or coastal
hello. i am arriving in Santiago on October 3rd. I have a week for walking. I would like to meet the 100km minimum - and I am leaning towards the Portugues camino. I am confused by the variations. Any suggestions where to begin my camino? Many thanks!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The most practical place is probably Tui, at the border between Portugal and Spain. Lovely city with a huge cathedral, it's a nice place to start!

Yes the Portuguese way is lovely lots of forest walking ... but if you want something more challenging you could do the san salvador walk it starts in Leon and finishes in Oviedo and you get the san salvador compostela... ( ha ha guys I have done a lot of reasearch) then you will be unique in your group of admirers :) :) gronze.com has lots of details great site
