Lovely photos Sabine, especially the blossoms. Glad that your ankle is starting to heal. After my first visit to physio I walked a local tour of an hour today. In between two storms I enjoyed the last blossom of the season. Was happy to have a good tape around my ankle. Slowly but surely....
Brabant or Limburg , Peter? Some pictures from our 3 day walk in the South of Holland.
Sorry, Limburg .Brabant or Limburg , Peter?
Sorry, Limburg .
Ik ook, wens je het beste, Peter. Both of the Limburg provinces : the best of the Low Lands but I'm prejudiced of course.
Lovely pictures, wish you well, Peter.I'm getting very good at fitting in a walk when I travel for work. This week I'm in Sligo, in the west of Ireland and I enjoyed a walk up, down and around Knockarea. Up the hill to the tomb of the ancient Queen Maeve of Connacht, down the other side and along the country roads to get back to my car. A very pleasant 10kms or so.

Beautiful!Led an easy introductory hike today in the Glendalough area in the Wicklow mountains, had 25 signed up with 24 hours today, only 2 others showed up and the remainder missed a lovely day's hiking:

And what lovely blue sky!Urban stroll in the city (Adelaide) this morning, post surgeon appointment, ruminating over my husband's upcoming shoulder reconstruction - at least he'll still be able to walk while he recovers. We wandered along the River Torrens and then back through the parklands under the stately towering Moreton Bay Fig trees that emanate such calm and deep inner strength. They also provide shelter to some of our city's homeless.

Hi Sabine, my wife and I visited Leuven last year and we loved it. Had a great day.Visiting my Alma Mater in Leuven to review a thesis. Some citywalking and lots of cobblestones.
The townhall.
Uni library, rebuilt after WWII with the help of American universities.
"Old market" with the cafes and flags for our national footie team.
This picture was taken at the top of the tower at the "3 landen punt " that's where the borders meet from Belgium /Germany and Holland.
Wish you all well, Peter.
Nice photos Seamus. I walked the Bray-Greystones stretch recently, but didn't realise that the path went all the way to Wicklow. Another one for the list!Trying to get a little fitter before a 3 week hiking holiday in the Czech Republic in 11 days I had a pleasant 55 km walk on the coastal path from Bray to Wicklow Town and back:

Great photos. Every big hill should have at least one of those signs! Then today we finally walked somewhere different to our usual rounds. Becky Falls, on Dartmoor, is not far away and has several marked routes. We chose the red and purple. If you can walk that then the Camino need have no fears, including steep and rugged hills!
After lunch in the café we then completed the more gentle climb back to the entrance and car park. We loved the sign
Hiking above Squamish B.C, overlooking Howe Sound. Breathtaking views and great mountain trails.

Nice!! Beats driving to my local Carrefour because our baker is on holidays....
haha... folks around here say that we have the best baker in FranceNew owners took over last year and everyone held their breath, wondering if it would ever be the same again... but thankfully it was business as usual... except they also do lots more cakes and pizza
In 1974 I visited a friend in Northern Ireland and during that time I walked along the Giant Causeway. We're on holidays in Sligo (North west Ireland) at the moment and enjoying lots of long walks along the Atlantic coast.
Last week's walks were calm and relaxing:

The ocean views this morning were very dramatic indeed - big waves, wild winds and driving rain.
