On our last CF we stayed at Hotel Ruta Jacobea in Lavacolla.

They had these lovely statues in the lobby.

I looked all over Santiago and online for something similar but have so far drawn a blank.

You can pick up the seated pilgrim in Leon - wouldn't want to carry it too far thought ;)
 
Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Screen Shot 2018-11-25 at 11.45.53.webp and while we did go in to the Parador for a brave look around, we stayed in the nuns' albergue, with prayers and dinner as part of the deal!
