What are the circle symbol and golf tee symbol on the wise pilgrim app

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Thats usually what you hit on a map where it goes to your current location

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
If you have allowed the app to know your location, it will use that location to automatically scroll the view to the nearest point on the camino. It works the same on the map view, and on the elevation view.
I assume that the it that I bolded above means the "golf tee" icon, is that correct? At any rate I think the action is a neat feature.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

@wisepilgrim Thank you for the reply. Can you also tell me if my location on the trail shows up when using the offline map.

It should. But again the app needs to have your location permission first. This seems to be an overlooked setting for many pilgrims, as it is the number one topic for all support related emails. If you do not allow the app to know where you are, it cannot show you on the map.

I would be under the impression from other apps I have use that the Circle (Compass Indicator) is used as described above, to find your current location. And the Golf Tee (Funnel) is used to filter your results within the app.

I'm not sure what results would be filtered as I don't think that there is a search function.

I just looked at the app again, and the link to pre-register for the Compostela should be updated to the new one:

The funnel icon is indeed to filter, and pressing it will compress the list of places to ONLY those that you have marked as favorites. There is a small UI annoyance in the current versions of the paid apps: if you had not marked any places as a favorite, it was happy to show you a blank screen.. and if you saw that or had accidentally tapped the filter only to see stuff vanish it was a bit odd. I have fixed that issue in the upcoming update. I will also fix the link to register.

Thanks for the explanation. I haven't marked any favorites, so I got the blank screen.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thanks! That should be no problem. I will go into my settings right now and allow access to location. I appreciate the feedback and assistance!
