Up early and off to find a laundromat. I machine washed all my clothes and now they smell soooo much better.
Enjoyed a Cappuccino and Granita for breakfast and became a "tourist" for the day.
I walked in a lot of back alleys, where tourists usually don't go and enjoyed seeing how the local people live.
Had a great steak dinner with Truffles and spinach and later enjoyed a passagiata to the duomo.
Now it's time to get ready for tomorrow's walk to Buenconvento.

Bob, is that picture of the wishing well where you had your dinner? Looks like you had more cooked spinach. Because of the one you had the other day with olive oil and lemon juice, I cooked up a big bag in olive oil with lemon juice and salt for lunch today; quite yummy.
Btw, we enjoyed having a glass of wine in the very same courtyard restaurant with the wishing well.
Lucky you; the only truffles I had were the tiniest pieces on top of overpriced eggs. I couldn't even taste them.
I climbed the tall tower overlooking the square and city. I always try to get a bird's eye view when I get the opportunity.

One your way out check the street signs for scallop shells. You'll also have seen the shells in the Piazza.

Always thought the next section was much better than the section from Lucca but you've got some climbs in front of you, so stay safe in the heat.
