Weather in August

Hi,

I am planning to do the Camino in August. I initially planned on going on the Portuguese route starting from Porto but i heard that route experiences a lot of heavy rain. Is that true? Now I am thinking about doing the Camino frances starting from ponferrada. How would the weather be like in August?
