Waving a red flag?

I hope there are no dumb questions...

When I started planning a camino, many years and several sizes after last owning suitable gear/clothing, shopping was clearly in order.

Off to REI. I tried on many shirts. So many vents and zippers. A zippered pocket there? Have they looked at women's bodies? Very trying...

I finally found a long sleeved quick dri shirt that I liked and thought reasonably becoming. I tried it on for the non-pilgrim husband. His comment: "Don't they have bulls in Spain?"

The shirt is of course bright tomato red.

While I won't be in Pamplona during the running of the bulls, I have read some blogs that indicate pilgrims share the Way with local cattle.

So, will I have a problem with enraged cows? Will the folks back home read about the terrible incident with the clueless peregrina? Do I have to take back my nice shirt?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Keep your shirt and wear it proudly; cows are colorblind...

Go ahead! - My favourite Merino T-shirt and my high brand fleece were both very red. I loved them. - An extra benefit: you will be better seen in traffic :) - More reason to worry about traffic than bulls and cattle. I have still to read about anyone in this forum who had a controversy with cows - even though their horns may look daunting.

Holoholo automatically captures your footpaths, places, photos, and journals.
Try it in the sun to see if it's not too hot wearing it -- if not, then GO AHEAD !!! :D

Apparently not -- but they're dichromates, seeing blues and yellows (and greens, browns, etc) -- but not reds

By the time you've washed this shirt x times on the camino, the colour will have faded into chocolate.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The bulls in the fighting rings (and any you meet along the way) are attracted to the MOVEMENT of the flying capes - so keep your shirt well-buttoned and you'll be fine!
