Waterproof spray for boots

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Does anyone know of a waterproof spray for shoes and boots I could find in Spain? Thanks!

Hi Meye,

Nikwax is the best known, though I have no idea whether it's the actual best waterproofing treatment over here in the UK. They do have stockists in Spain. Just enter the name of the town you're in and hopefully something will come up. Nikwax Spain

Good luck and Buen Camino,

Rob.

I use Nikwax in the UK and at this time of year out walking my boots are ankle deep in mud and water and I haven't gone home with wet feet yet! (My boots are gortex lined)

Thanks everyone! I bought some Nikwax in Madrid at a store called Barrabes Montaña Ski near the Tirso de Molina metro stop. The employees there were very helpful as well.

Anniesantiago, I appreciate your insight and it’s helpful if I were planning to walk during a drier season, but I’ve just walked from Irún to Oviedo and am planning to continue along the Primitivo this Friday. After what I’ve experienced on the Norte and what I’ve heard from hospitaleros and other pilgrims about the Primitivo, I’m definitely waterproofing my boots!

Thanks again, everyone! Take care!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

This looks amazing but haven't try it yet. I don't know what kind of similar products you can get in Spain:

Glad to be of help. Let us know if it actually works!
