Just thought I'd mention in passing that In this month's (October 2008 issue) Wanderlust (UK magazine) I found an article describing the walk from Santiago to Finisterre. It is mentioned that this is a nice "taster" to the Camino and easily done over a long weekend. Done in 3 days (day one: Santiago to Negreira, day two: Negreira to Olveira; day three Olveiroa to Fisterra). The person writing the article did not stay in albergues but in farmhouses/hotels so did not really rough it though!

I am now quite tempted to go all the way to Finisterre - but I guess I'd better wait until I am actually on the Camino before I make the decision!

Re: Wanderlust (UK Magazine) mentions the Santiago-Finisterre le

Hello Isabelle,
If you are interested, I posted the link to my webalbum on the Fisterra thread here. I walked Santiago/Muxía/Fisterra in August of this year. Pretty walk - long days.
Buen Camino,
