(?) Camino Le Puy
I will be adding on to last year's Camino by walking from Santiago around the coast at the end of July, then plan to take some time to visit Portugal. I know nothing about the train system. I want to get from Santiago to Lisbon (Sintra) and then work my way back up to Santiago over about a week's time.
Can anyone who is familiar with this advise? - Monica

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Hi, I have found online at santiago-compostela.net/portugues to have a good path along the coast, pictures, etc... it is 12 days from Porto to Santiago, so from Lisbon is is more im sure.. all mybest my friend...

In 2010, I went from SdC to Porto where I spent a couple of days. From there, I went to Fatima for a day and one night. After this, I went to Sintra for another couple of days. It was here that I went through Lisbon to the beach town of Cascais. I loved it there! Then I went back to Lisbon to fly back to California. I did mostly by bus except the Cascais part. It was extremely easy and such a great time after my Camino Norte to Fisterre walk.

May you enjoy your time as well.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I took a similar route this summer. After walking to Finisterre, I bused back to Santiago and caught a train to Vigo. From there, I took a train to Porto, and a few days later to Lisbon. It's a short train ride from Lisbon to Sintra, and a nice area to explore.

Thank you! Sounds like it will be easy enough to get around Portugal. Very excited to be going back to the Camino! Monica

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
