We saw it last year at the Ashland (Oregon) Independent Film Festival. It was so popular that the local movie house kept showing the film after the festival ended. Highly recommended, and in our view much truer to the pilgrim experience than the Martin Sheen film.
Buen camino.

Same here in Denver. It stayed on in the movie house for a month. I agree that it presents a much truer experience than "The Way," but I think they both have a place in the Camino universe, and I think they complement each other nicely. The Esteves/Sheen film, because of its Hollywood roots, probably attracts more attention initially than the documentary, but those interested in learning more about the real day-to-day Camino experience will be (and are) drawn to the "Six Ways to Santiago."

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I'm so looking forward to this! I live about an hour away from Asheville and just recently found out about the showing when I e-mailed someone in the Asheville group to ask whether they might organize a "Meet-Up" to host the film. Lovely surprise when the reply to my query started off, "Funny you should ask about this...."

I walked in September 2012. For a long time after that I continued coming here to the forum to vicariously participate in others' planning and experiences, but then .... sort of drifted away. Now my only concern is that seeing the documentary might re-ignite my desire to walk again. ;)

From the Colorado Front Range Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino:
"Procrastinators rejoice! You missed Walking the Camino: Six Ways to Santiago at the Chez Artiste after a four (!) week run. It has begun a brief reprise at the SIE Filmcenter (2510 East Colfax in Denver) through this coming Thursday, May 1st. One last chance to see this great Camino documentary in Denver! http://www.denverfilm.org/filmcenter/detail.aspx?id=26538 "
