If you are intrigued by the idea of walking from Lisbon to Santiago, but are put off by the fact that there are many days of 30+km between Lisbon and Porto, worry no more. The attached document can help you shorten those stages.
Yes, I know, I started another thread with this same name a few weeks ago. Well, after a lot of help and input from Portugal and the forum, I have come up with a much better document. So I asked a moderator to delete the entire old thread.
So here is the latest information, as concise as we could make it, to help you. I think there are actually some forum members out there now testing this document (some copies were seen in Santarem a few days ago in the hands of English-speaking pilgrims). Comments and suggestions are welcome!
Bom caminho to everyone, and thanks to all of the people who contributed! Laurie
UPDATE: Oct. 2014. I've posted this document in the resources section, https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/resources/short-stages-from-lisbon-to-porto.133/ and removed it from this thread so that there will be only one source to go to for updates and revisions. Always very happy to get comments and changes from any satisfied or dissatisfied users. Thanks, Laurie
