Good morning all-- I am frantically repacking, leaving for the airport within the hour-- I have been supposing that I can buy a hiking stick or pole at Le Puy, as I can in SJPP or should I pick something up in Paris in the hour or so I have there?

thanks!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

I'm going in June. Looking forward to the feedback.

I agree with Falcon's suggestion. I wouldn't bother trying to run around Paris to find something with only an hour to spare... The metro system is a bit of a maze and the stores are bigger. Le Puy will have more camino/pilgrim specific shops :)

Buen Camino!

Try the stores in town first.

The Decathlon store is about two miles from the heart of Le Puy. We decided to go there to get some hiking in before we started out on the trail the following day. It is a large store with reasonable prices.

Bon chemin.

There is a bus up there,to Decathlon, I took a taxi, did not cost much, and walked back to town.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
If you are going to Lyon to get to Le Puy, I bought my poles at Au Vieux Campuer in Lyon. They had a large selection.

Hi there, I'm considering walking from Le Puy to St. Jean next spring if I can get my French up to par. I'm looking on advice on a few things: - Would it be too cool and rainy to start walking...
