Hi I am planning to walk the Coastal/Litoral Route from Porto to Santiago in June 2018. I am a bit nervous about walking alone and am hoping to find someone who will be there at the same time to walk with - not all the time or living in each other's pockets, but someone to meet at the lunch stop or at the end of the day to compare notes with, etc.
Also, I'm interested to know if there are many people on that route at that time of the year, especially in Portugal, in which case I might meet someone along the way.....
Thanks,
Jackie

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Don't worry . You certainly meet enough people in that month. I had the same experience, started alone and by day two I met someone who covered the same distances and we had some mutual interests.
We walked apart but often shared the same albergue or pension.

Don´t worry at all .... you won´t be alone!! Sure!!:):)

Hi Jackie, I walked the Camino Portugues May 2015. I left Lisbon as a solo pilgrim but met a number of similar pilgrims along the way to Santarem ..stopping for some time exchanging with them my first impressions of this route.
Arriving in Santarem I met a forum member from San Francisco (Restless) and two other buiddies one from Germany and the other from Sweden and walked together till Porto. More to this I met other people from many countries and till I arrived at Santiago we become all friends. We formed a large community of pilgrims ..and this was so exciting especially when we arrived in front of Santiago Cathedral.
I can assure you will never be alone all the way.
Buen Camino,
Ray

Don’t know when you are leaving Porto.

A group of us are leaving Viladesuso on 5 th June.

Today on my screensaver at work, this
photo of the street in Matosinhos that leads to the Camino came up - that's the point where I met my first friends on the Camino - I hadn't even technically reached it! I can think of only one time when I was alone on the Camino for any length of time - and that was probably 3-4 hours.
And I started in mid-September - you'll be in the height of the season, with many more people than when I walked.
You won't be alone!

Hello,
I just walked Porto Campostella in Oct. Many nice people, and many locals walk, families, elders, teenagers. It's a good time and I think in June, no problem with meeting people to walk and talk with. It's a great walk, and all the best for your Camino. Charlie.
