This is great news! ...no mention of this on the Vueling site though... I hope this is true. :?

The routes they talk about from Santiago de Compostela are to/from:
-- Athens, Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH)
-- Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiumicino) (FCO)
-- Milan, Malpensa (MXP)
-- Amsterdam, schiphol (AMS)

rather curious that it would be announced now, while the clickair merger is still pending. The EU is due to decide on this by Dec 16.

Meanwhile, I notice Air Europa is starting up Gatwick-Vigo - replacing clickair's service.

just happened to look at Vueling's site and these are now listed. They are however all via Barcelona, so are not direct flights.
