Volunteering in Lourdes then Walking

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Salut! I volunteer at Cite St Pierre in Lourdes Nov. 4-11, then walk to Pamplona. Bon chemin!
Fantastic. I walked from St Gaudens, 100 km from Lourdes. I crossed over the Col Somport rather than SKPdP. 2and night after Olorons st Marie was difficult to find accommodation. Buenos Camino

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Another thing to think about. The Aragon valley is clay all the way to Obanos so the path can be very slippery if it rains. Prepare for this because there are not many options to stay between stages. Arres and Rueste are super stops.

Definitely prepare for bad weather (even snow!). That route has limited accommodations even during the regular “season” so definitely book ahead so you know what is open. We walked Pamplona to Lourdes (via Somport Pass) in May 2019: it was lovely except for the snowstorm at the summit!

Buen Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Having difficulty finding a bed before Oloron. Thumbs crossed!

You may also find 2nd night after Olorons S M. difficult re accommodation.
