Has anyone details of accommodation between Poio and Villanova de Arouca.

Is there an Albergue at a place called Armereira?

There are some hotels,in Combarro and there is an albergue in Armenteira, about 25 beds. Also, at the bottom of the Ruta de piedra & agua there is a pension calle Os castanos.

They did not take pilgrims last May when I was there and asked.

I stayed there a few months ago as did a number of other pilgrims. However the guest house is a hostel and not a pilgrim Albergue.

I wonder why they wer turning people away. Could it be because there was a wedding in their church that evening and that was enough work for them?

We stayed in the alburge in Armenteria. We met a couple who had beds in the Monastery and they paid about $35 euro each but this included breakfast. We were making rather merry in a bar in this small town and we never found out if they made the 10:00 curfew there. Vespers there were interesting.
