Hello,

Everybody's talking about practical things to bring on the camino... how to prevent injuries, what to wear, whento wear, what to this, what to that...

My friend sent me his Camino experience from a little bit of a different perspective.

In this post you will travel with him on his thoughts, emotions and his view of the Camino. Not a practiacal one, but purely... how Camino changed quality of his life and people around him.

You can find his post here - http://www.walk-the-camino.com/top-learnings-from-camino/

If you want Your story to be displayed on the site, feel free to pm me. :)

Regards,
Erwin.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Hello,
From personal experience, I noticed that on the Camino, there were a lot of shy people that didn't want to start any conversations just because of their social insecurity. Well, that changes today.

This personal viewpoint / guide may seem too sceptical to others, but its some tips how to overcome self-doubts and make really good friends on your personal Camino de Santiago.

A couple of suggestions, if you see a pilgrim dining alone invite them over to eat at your table or vise versa. Language barriers are quickly eliminated these days due to apps like Google Translate, etc. I met a German pilgrim at a cafe near the train station in Santiago and we dine and converse for an hour using our phones. It was a wonderful experience.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks ; I very much like your very positive relating of your experience on the Camino

The only negative I see in the linked blog post is the categorization of types of people you will meet on the trail. I don't think that these types of stereotypes are helpful.
