Time of past OR future Camino
July 2014
I am wondering if anyone has found access to a translator in spain to help with bookings. I am travelling in July by bike... and would like to pre book spots as are available. I have vocal cord damage... and really don't speak spanish anyways. When I am calling , I feel that the host on the other end can understand my feeble attempt at a booking, but I cant tell what they are saying. Does anyone know of anyone who might, for a fee, book me some accomodation. I could email particulars to someone, and send over a cheque, or pay cash when I arrive.
Many thanks

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Ivar should be able to put you in touch with someone to do that.

On the one occasion that I felt important to book ahead, the English speaking Spanish hospitalera where I was staying was kind enough to ring the next albergue for me. I was staying in a private albergue. It would not have been possible at all the Xunta albergues that I used - most of the time the hospitaleros didn't stay for long, only being there to check someone in if they arrived late.

Join the Camino cleanup. Logroño to Burgos May 2025 & Astorga to OCebreiro in June
We pre booked all our albergues by email, used Google translate to translate to Spanish.
