Two sellos on credencial from Sarria to Santiago

I'm going from Sarria in April to Santiago. Is it easy to get two cellos on your credencial every day?
Where can we get these two cells per day? (hotel, restaurant, church...) I plan to make the trip in 6 days given my fitness.
Do you have any recommendations for certain stages of this 100km section?
upon arrival in Santiago, how do I proceed to obtain the Santiago diploma?
where should we introduce ourselves and then is there a particular procedure? (use of computer or other means?...)
thank you for your light and your help
Loukas

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Very easy ( sellos, not cellos ... those would be hard!

Many cafés, albergues. and hotels, and some churches and chapels, will have sellos ( often self- service). You may choose one in the morning, and a second when you arrive at your night's destination, or any combination you choose. Just make sure you get them in order, progressing to Santiago ( no retrograde from Arzua to Melide

Recommendations are entirely dependent upon your fitness and your reasons for walking.

If you have the current Spanish credencial, there's a QR code on it. At some point before your arrival, register with the Pilgrim's Office, and keep your resulting second QR code.

Also, check the Office hours:

Arrive there at your leisure during hours, show the registration QR code, and away you go.

One final note. No backpacks in the Cathedral (which is *not* where the Pilgrim's Office is).

Buen Camino.

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 30 to April 2
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi
Thanks for your answer but you indicate : « the current spanish credencial with a QR code on it »
Where do you buy this credenciale, because i have a French credenciale bought at SJPDP in France last year.
Thanks a lot

You can use your current credenciale.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

You can use your current credential, and you can get a QR code from the pilgrim office while you are walking at this link. Depending on how busy the pilgrim office is, this may save you some time when you arrive. Buen Camino.

When you get to the Pilgrim Office (was there last week) there is a QR code on the door of the Pilgrim Office that takes you to the link below. You fill in the details on the form and they check the actual credential against the details you entered on the website. Takes a couple of minutes and is a very quick process.

A printed Credential is useful to collect the sellos/stamps but you could use a diary or bits of paper or a notebook. Nothing difficult. You just need to show where you have been and where you started.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
For those with limited IT skills there are staff at the door of the pilgrims office that will help.
You will then be able to watch your place in the queue and return nearer your time.
Plenty of stamps on last 100.
That is me. I walk every year. The only compostela i keep is my first one i give the others to my close friends and family. I always wait till i get there to register. haha When I walk it is late in the year and i never have to wait

That link is working for me on a laptop. I haven't tested it on a phone or tablet.

I have experienced "weirdness" when trying to access the registration site via the QR code outside the office in the past. I have no clue why.

Recently I've just done this...

Go to google.
Search on "Pilgrims office Santiago"

Their site shows up high (top?) in the results, Go to the site. Adjust language as preferred.

Click "REGISTER" in the header navigation... (that is the list of links at the top of the page)

Go from there...

You may use your French credencial. Or you may buy a new one in Sarria. There is a store that sells everything for pilgrims, “Peregrinoteca” or something similar. Buen Camino!

You want sellos (stamps), not cellos. Those are like a violin, but hold more beer and burn longer.

3rd Edition. Vital content training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Don’t get too hung up on the 2 stamps per day. I have done 7 caminos and all they look at, at the Pilgrim office is your start point.

I think we might all know someone who has been given their compostela having missed one or more sellos. I have certainly been in that boat myself, but I would never give anyone advice to play loose with this rule, I would be appalled to find that that someone might have been refused their compostela because I advised them not to follow the Pilgrim Office rules.

Besides, getting two sellos a day on this route and most other routes is relatively easy to do, whether it be from Sarria or St Jean. While I might not have done this on my first camino, these days I get a sello whenever I stop, whether it is a bar/cafe, panaderia or some little tienda as well as where I stay each night.

Some of the stamps are really beautiful. It is also a souvenir to remind you where you have stopped. Some days I even got 3 stamps!
We had some difficulty finding the Pilgrim Office. It was quite tiring searching for it after a long days walk. The people at the Pilgrim Office are very friendly and helpful.
It was a bit overwhelming with all the people in Santiago. Not bad, just different from walking without crowds . (My experience)
