Two Kiwis on the Nortes (October-November 2013)

Hi All,

My partner and I are from New Zealand and are planning on starting the Camino De Nortes from Irun, and then change to the Primitivo.

We are heading off in the last week on October! Sound be fun!!

Join Camino Cleanup: Logroño to Burgos May 2025 and Astorga to O'Cebreiro in June.
Buen Camino. I have a friend walking CF a little later than that, a veteran of two earlier pilgrimages. He has been carefully preparing for the cold conditions he expect to find along the way in Nov/Dec.

I don't have experience with walking at that time of year in the northern hemisphere, but if you have been walking at home in winter, you should have a reasonable expectation of what you will be facing.

Regards,

Hi Torti

Be prepared for rain. It tends to rain quite a bit in this area. Hope both of you enjoy it.

Buen Camino!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hello Torti! I'm walking the CF this year starting in October, BUT I am planning to also walk the Camino del Norte/Primitivo in late 2014 [long story, my brother and a couple of mates couldn't get the time off this year]. I would very much like to hear what your experiences are upon your return.

cheers

Alex
