Traveling from Valencia to Pamplona then SJPdP

I am visiting a friend for a few days in Valencia prior to returning to walk the Camino Frances in June. I need to be in St Jean by 4 June. I'm thinking that I can take a train or bus to Pamplona and then bus or taxi to SJPdP. Anyone traveled from Valencia to SJPdP before? Recommendations? Thanks!

Just a heads up, when I got on the bus from Pamplona to St Jean the Bus Navigator handed out bags in case you begin to feel queezy. Several people had to use them. The road is not terrible but the ride can be choppy if you have a weak stomach.
