Travel tips Logrono to Madrid

I’ll be finishing a voluntary Hospitalero stint in Alcandre (near Logrono) on 30 June and need to get to Madrid airport for my flight home the next day.
Anyone out there with some good advice?

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Also take into consideration that there is only a vending machine for your ticket in this station.
Make yourself familiar on which platform you need to be.

Holoholo automatically captures your footpaths, places, photos, and journals.
I have taken the bus a few times to and from Logroño - Madrid.
Please advise on journey time and cost, if possible. Ball park bus vs train will do. Obviously both are valid, providing one has time. Fight times are misleading due to early arrival for boarding. So if train gets one to the airport directly (without changing and waiting for next) at Madrid Central, it may be beneficial to go train way?
Please let me know your thoughts.

Good to note SabsP, but surely it’s possible to buy via www well before and print ticket?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Prices will vary according to day and time. If you search on this website for the date you have in mind you will get results for both train and bus - with journey time and cost.

Jimenez and Alsa both have buses direct to the airport from Logroño. Alsa 3 or 4 per day. Range in price from 20 to 30 euros depending on the time of day and the bus amenities. It is about a 4 hr ride. Tickets not yet available for Jimenez at the end of June.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Bradypus in post #2 gave you all of that information in the Rome2Rio link. Open it. Now click on the bus or train icon. There are the timetables and prices.

Thank you … that is exactly the news I needed to hear. I’d gladly do a 4 hour bus ride than an air flight if less than 1 hour.
I’ll do the necessary from here.

I thank all those who commented.
Much appreciated.
