Travel from Santiago to Villafranca del Bierzo

I need to get to Villafranca the same day as arriving in Santiago (noon). Any thoughts? There is no bus service in the afternoon hours. How pricey would it be to take a cab - or, can I hire a shuttle? Any help will be appreciated.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The bus goes to La Coruna first, so the travel time by car would be less than the bus time of four hours, but it still would be a very expensive taxi ride. As a general rule, expect to pay about a Euro per kilometer. There is a bus at 9:30 p.m.

Hi Michele
if you catch a direct bus to Lugo-from Santiago it seems there are 4 buses a day to Villafranca 1am-10-30-12.15 and 17-30
the journey takes just over 1 hour.
your question was answered in an post from 2011 "how to get from sarria to villafranca" it lists all the time tables.
if all else fails and you need a taxi it will be a heck of a lot cheaper to catch one from Lugo,I think the bus to Lugo from Santiago even stops at the airport.
