Hi,

I'm looking for information about the bus or train from Barcelona to Gijon. I'll be in Girona (Barcelona) airport at July 26 11.20 p.m. and I'd like to get to Gijon to start my Camino.
Thank you for any advice.

If you want to travel by bus then check out Alsa bus for the routing information. You will probably need to travel to Madrid then on to Gijon but there might be buses that travel north to Leon directly from Barcelona.

Hi, Iza,
This will be a very long ride. jirit might be right that it would be quicker to go into Madrid and then back up north, but there are direct routes.

Trains (see renfe.es) leave either at noon or 9:30 am and take more than 10 hours.

Buses (see movelia.es) leave at 9 am, 9:45 am, 10:15 am, or 9 pm and take more than 12 hours.

Trains can be cheaper than buses if you can buy the ticket in advance.

I don't know the Barcelona airport too well, but I don't think there is a train or bus stop there. You'll probably have to get back into town, but others can give more precise info.

Good luck with this, Laurie
