Hi Everyone,
Getting excited for my camino walk next month!!
I'll be flying into Barcelona and spending a few days there before starting the walk in Leon.
Could anyone suggest what's the cheapest/most reliable way to get there?
Welcome to the Forum! http://www.alsa.es a bus from Barcelona to Leon 9 hours 45 min 3 times a day about €45. http://www.renfe.es by train twice a day about 8 hours but more expensive (can´t see the price). http://www.iberia.es expensive €175 1 hour 30 min.
I would take a night bus (the timetable for April 6)
BARCELONA (NORD) LEON 08:45 18:30 9h 45min 45,93€
BARCELONA (NORD) LEON 09:00 19:25 10h 25min 45,93€
BARCELONA (NORD) LEON 22:00 08:45 +1day 10h 45min 45,59€
We are 3 friends from Namibia and intend to do the Camino Frances in Arpil and May from SJPD to Santiago de C. We are due to land Friday, 8 April 2011 in Barcelona and want to explore Barcelona for a day or two. Thereafter we intend to travel by bus (cheapest option?) to Pamplona either on Sunday or on Monday. Are there any bus services on Sundays? And what will be the cheapest and most convenient option to travel from Pamplona to SJPD? Any recent experience regarding above mentioned and costs involved? Alet & friends
