Transportation from Burgos?

I am planning a camino with 3 other people starting in early June. One of these people are only able to do part of the Camino with us. I am assuming he will have to leave around the time we are within a day (give or take) of Burgos. He has to get back to the States, and we are looking for the best way to plan his transportation. Anyone know of any ideas or anything? Thanks!

Depending on your flights from USA ... You're best off taking the Renfe train to Madrid.

Bus station is located downtown Burgos close to the cathedral and service to Madrid is frequent. There are buses to T4 Barajas airport.
