transport to and from Madrid Airport

Dawn of a new Day

Active Member
Ok, i wanted to restate my last confusing posting.
I am arriving into Madrid at 8:30pm. My departure is at 10:30am on Oct. 31. So for both of these times i will be able to take the train from and to the airport.
Would you all recommend that i overnight in Madrid, or take the ave train at 10pm. (or the bus to seville) the night i arrive. i have 46 days for the via de la plata.
Recommendations for hostels in madrid and seville?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi again Dawn,

If you are flying into/out from Madrid from Canada I would take it easy. I would stay overnight in Madrid when you arrive, you will be tired when you come. .. and if you plane is on schedule into Madrid, you might have problems making the 22.00 train anyway... especially if you are planning to take the metro.

I would take the train the next morning. I would not recommend the bus with such a nice high speed train available.

... for places to stay in Sevilla, have a look here.

For places to stay in Madrid, have a look here.

I hope this helps I leave your other questions for others with more knowledge.

Saludos,
Ivar

Dawn, I agree with Ivar. Stay overnight in Madrid & get over your jetlag. As for places to stay, I've stayed at Hotel Ateneo Puerto Sol (good hotel) & the Hostal Plaza d'Or (I think that was the name). This was cheaper than the Ateneo, but also close to Puerto Sol.
