to St. Jean Pied de Port? There once was a bus, but I’m not seeing one listed!!!!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
No buses from Pamplona to SJPDP at this time of year. Summer only. To reach SJPDP you would probably have to go by bus to San Sebastian and change there for another bus to Bayonne. Then train to SJPDP.

As @Bradypus said, the noon bus to SJPdP runs seasonally, it will no doubt show up on the schedule sometime in the Spring.
If the time of day doesn't suit you, you can reserve with this taxi company and they will attempt to pool you with other pilgrims to share the cost.

Here are their fares

For the last 4 years in a row I have scouted the gate area in Madrid airport for other pilgrims going to st Jean. Prior to the flight to Pamplona I have been successful in rounding up 2 to 8 people to share taxi/s to St Jean. We leave directly from Pamplona airport and get to St Jean in a bit over an hour. Getting there by 1500 allows me a 2 to 2.5 stroll to Valcarlos or Borda for the night.

Hi Sally!

It seems that the bus doesn't start running until around April. Either wait to book or if you're going earlier than that, here are some alternate ideas:

If you can change your flight to San Sebastian or Biarritz/ Bayonne, the bus connections to the Bayonne train station ( with connection to SJPP) are multiple times per day.

There’s also a bus every two hours that goes from Pamplona to San Sebastian. And hourly from San Sebastian to Bayonne to catch the train to SJPP

There's also a way to take a bus from Madrid all the way to Bayonne and catch the train to SJPP. It's actually the same bus you would catch if you were in San Sebastian to go onto Bayonne.

And I know @MaineSally, that you're very familiar with much of this information, we talked once before my Covid canceled Camino in 2020! Hope things are good!

Thanks so much Bradypus!

Trecile:
Many thanks for your input on The Way taxi. Given arrival time into Pamplona I believe this will be the best option. I always value what you and Bradypus offer.
Appreciatively!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I’m trying ATL-BIO in late March, then bus/train to Bayonne for SJPP start April 2. Looks easy, we shall see.
