Camino Portgues (planned)
Hello everyone,

I would be very grateful about your help. I will walk a part of the Camino in the beginning of March. I will start from Porto, and have approximately six walking days. Given my rather low speed - do you know towns along the way from which I can get back to Porto in the end of the week? I saw that valenca has a good connection, but I doubt that I’ll reach it.

Thank you very much in advance

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
I had the most amazing day trip on the bus/train from Esposende, three days out from Porto. Following the Camino del Salvador, Spain decided to walk three days of the coastal/littoral route from Porto. On the fourth day, caught the 0600 bus from Esposende, went to Braga via the magnificent town of Barcelos. Spent the day sightseeing in Braga then caught the afternoon train back to very famous Sai Bento train station, Porto. And if u make it to Viana do Castello there’s a train, thru’ Barcelos direct to Porto. Bom Caminho❤️

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

If you do the central route, you can take a short bus ride from Ponte de Lima to Braga, and then pick up a train direct back to Porto. On the coastal route, you can take the Porto metro back to Porto from Povoa de Varzim, or, as chinalil says above, take the train back from Viana do Costelo (also from Praia de Âncora, Caminha or Valença). Bottom line: within a six day trip, if you stay within Portugal, it's easy to return to Porto.
