Camino Primitivo May 2018.
Hello everybody! I'm planning my Camino Primitivo for May this year. It will be my second Camino, the first one was Camino Frances in April 2016. It was wonderful experience so I'm going back for more ;). Anyway, I need information about possible transfer from Asturias airport to Oviedo. I will arrive to airport at 8,30 p.m., oversleep in Oviedo and start walking next day. Is there available bus line from airport to Oviedo at that time? Also, if I take a taxy, is there some known and safe taxy company that I should looking for (maybe even book a taxy for specific day)? Or you have any other ideas that could be helpful for me in this matter.... Thank you!

Hi, Marina,

Welcome to the forum!

The airport bus runs regularly up till about 11:30 pm. I think it goes once or twice an hour. You can just buy the ticket from the driver. The airport is very small and you won't have trouble finding the bus stop, right outside the main door and to the right.

There is no problem with taking any taxi that you see outside the airport. Price will probably be between 50 and 60 euros. Buen camino, Laurie

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thank you peregrina2000 , do you know maybe if the bus is ALSA? Or there is more buses that drive from airport to Oviedo?

Yes, it's Alsa. https://www.alsa.com/en/web/bus/our-destinations/airports/asturias-ranon-airport

The bus station in Oviedo is very close to the camino, but on the way out of town. So you will probably want to go into the center and the cathedral. Not sure what the status of the albergue is, but it is likely to be closed when you get there. A hotel or pension in the old part of town is probably your best bet.

I assume that bus station is not far away from center, so I can walk to the center, as a preparation for camino :), or I need to take some other bus for center?

Hi I'm travelling to Burgos to walk part of the Camino Frances next year and my options seems to be fly into Santander and coach to Burgos, or fly into Madrid, then coach to Burgos. Don't think...
Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
