TRAINS AT BAYONNE

JIMBO

Glad to hear about Ivar's tourist Office in Santiago as we will be looking for info/bookings after our journey.

We travel by TGV from Paris and get to Bayonne at 2.48pm on Tuesday 22nd September. Does anyone have any experience with catching the connecting train to St jean Pied de Port.
I have checked timetables and there seems to be a train around 3pm.
Does this train wait for the TGV?
Are the platforms near one another?
Should we buy tickets in Paris ?
I am not over worried because as with most things we will find our way. However if anyone has any knowledge here that woukld be a help

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

When I travelled on the train from Bayonne to SJPP most of the passengers seemed to have been pilgrims who had arrived at the station on the TGV. In the unlikely event that it was delayed I'm sure the SJPP train would wait.
The station at Bayonne is quite small, so it would only take a couple of minutes to get from one platform to another.
If you did buy your tickets in Paris it would save you the hassle of queuing for them In Bayonne.
