Hi all,

I am not sure if this is new (but I think it is), RENFE http://www.renfe.es (train) has now a train that goes back (more or less) parallel to the Camino Frances (Ponferrada, Leon, Burgos, Pamplona). It is a long trip, but might be an alternative for some that would like to return the same way the came... not flying and not by bus.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
That train´s been running that route for at least as long as I have lived here -- Sahagun is my principal stop, and this is my favorite way to get to Santiago! It travels both ways, once a day.

Just so you know, the train follows the Camino Invierno along the Rio Sil, between O Barco de Valdeorras and Monforte de Lemos. If you are considering walking the Invierno, take a ride on this train for a preview!
