The balises leaving St. Come d'Olt show a turn off the road at about the one km point. Stay on the road unless you want an exhausting and unnecessary hike to a modern concrete virgen. Approaching Espalion you can ignore the balises directing you to the left at the sports complex to the Perses church, which is quite nice. If you stay beside the river, you will be immediately in town. The better gite is just across the river on the foot bridge. 31E demipension.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Buen camino falcon269! Are you walking all the way to Santiago? See the weather has been better. Lots of people on the route?

It is busy with a lot of "complet." I doubt I will go to Santiago. The Via Arles is likely after the Podiensis.

Massip is an excellent stop.

Senergues is an excellent stop.

Reserving ahead is still an excellent practice. Cancel reservations you won't use. The "hotes" are getting very testy about no shows!!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Seviac

The gite at the archaeological dig is closed for economic reasons. It is a great loss to the variety on the Chemin.

The Perses Church is an absolute must stop for all who love the Romanesque! Frescoes, sculptures, angels and demons on the column capitals. Entrance is gained through the small side door to the right of the main arched entrance by pushing a small bell button. Do not miss! Espalion otherwise may be skipped though it does have an incredible number of sporting goods stores should you really need some anti-bedbug spray, tent pegs, socks or a new pair of boots. The Boneval monastery is a much better option not Romanesque but chocolate!

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Quite a few rainy days with slippery, boot-clinging mud, and the forecast is for four more days of the same. There does not seem to be any heat in the accommodations because you "do not need heat in May!"

The weather can be unpredictable and unseasonable. We were a dozen drowned rats at dinner in Miramont-Sensacq tonight.

Hi there, I'm considering walking from Le Puy to St. Jean next spring if I can get my French up to par. I'm looking on advice on a few things: - Would it be too cool and rainy to start walking...
