Thoughts on tank tops?

Hi guys!
Can I wear a tank top on the camino, or is that going to be too much friction in my armpits area and with the direct contact with the backpack?
Would you recommend a T-shirt, or can I pack tank tops too?
Thank yo so much in advance! I'm sorry if my question seems stupid, but you've been so helpful with your tips so far!!!

I always walked in spring so brought wicking tshirts rather than tank tops. I will be walking in June this year and have the exact same concerns as you about friction and rubbing of backpack straps on bare skin. Good question! I will be waiting for some answers, too.

Test the idea on yourself by walking with your loaded pack for six hours. Tank tops are not welcome in church, but I doubt anyone will say anything. The local ladies will just scowl.
