Thorlos alternative?

I've been walking in Thorlo women's mini-crew socks for a while now, and they've been just great. However, with the temperature getting up to the upper 80s now (over 30º C), I'm finding that they are just too warm, despite the inclusion of their coolmax equivalent.

Can anyone suggest any sock that is similar in the amount of padding that wouldn't be so sweaty in hot weather?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I have been having similar problems with socks I have tried. I found Balega Enduro Vtech quarters at REI in the US. They have padding, my feet still get warm but these are the only socks that don't keep my feet sweaty they actually wick it outward! I know a lot of socks claim to do this but they just haven't worked for me.

They were about $10US. I havent tried them in hot hot weather but compared to thorlo, darn tough, and wigwam these make my feet a lot happier.

Hope this helps.

¡Buen Camino!

Just say no to cotton or acylic socks.
Marino wool is what you should look for. They are expensive, and you should have enough to change socks at least once a day.

I also live in Florida, and I wear marino wool socks year around. If your feet are overheating, you should examine your shoes/boots.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
