A pilgrim friend just sent me a link to this video on Facebook. Watching this is the closest I have felt to walking the camino since I walked into Santiago at the end of May. I forgot to sync my iPhone with my music so had very few tunes to listen to, but this as one of them and it certainly put a skip in my step. You can't help but love this. And for those of you who have yet to walk your first camino - this is what it feels like - enjoy!

"Way" cool. The guy in the video was great I don't think he walked the Camino I think he danced the Camino. Good for him. Does anyone know when this video was taken? Trying to get an idea of what time of year to help me pack for my Camino which is just a few weeks away.
One more thought the guy should have a series of dancing video for health and fitness. He would make lots of money that he could donate to the Camino and other charity's. Just a thought.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi Maggie -
Great thread and a great song! I love this really cool Pharrell Williams song - 'have done for a while now.
Last month, in the pilgrim souvenir shop just a few doors down from Hotel Gaudi in Astorga, I had my own, completely fantastic "Happy" occurrence!
I walked into the shop and heard the song playing but couldn't see anyone about. I then noticed two staffers at the back of the shop dancing the "Happy" dance - clapping hands and bopping around, and they waved me over to join them! I did and we all danced around doing the "Happy" dance until the song finished! I couldn't get the smile off my face for the rest of the day!
Pharrell's magic with this song stretches far and wide.
Cheers - Jenny

Better than the Vino tinto Jenny that's only good for a little while, not for the rest of the day Eh?

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
What a fab story Jenny - I can just picture the scene. I listened to this a lot on the camino this year - I only had about five tunes on my phone - it was such a tonic for sad aching feet.

I also learned to love this tune along the way - by the artist Israel Kamakawiwo'ole who I only discovered after reading a thread on this forum (and a huge thank you to whoever posted that). He brightened up many a slog along the cobbles - even got me swirling my poles once or twice! If you aren't familiar with this (sadly now deceased) artist look him up on youtube - he has the voice of an angel.

Hi Maggie -
Ta muchly for the thumbs up on my own "Happy" experience - it was one of those wonderful Camino moments - that's for sure.
Thanks too for posting Israel's clip - he'd have me swirling the poles too!!! I'll check out some more of his music on youtube.

We love IZ and "our" song for motivating each other when it gets a bit tough is going to be IZ singing "Starting Over Again". I have put a link to that somewhere on the forum.
