I just received a PM from dalston999. We met in Boadilla el camino this May. In replying she reminded me of something I would like to share.
That was a great day to chill out. I had arrived there at 11 o'clock after a 4 hour 20K. I had already found my "Camino legs" (Having walked from SJPdP), was feeling great and well able to continue to my planned Fromista. Already I had found that I walked fairly quickly sometimes (you know, those times when the legs have a mind of their own) and that was one of those days. But the lure of that sunny, warm, sculpture laden garden oasis was too much. And it was there that I discovered a new me, one that was a bit more carefree, and a new flexibility. It was not my first Camino and the first one had already changed me, but by that time this Camino was already changing me a lot more, and it certainly did that day. (It also certainly did by the end as I started in a relationship then). I just relaxed and "rehydrated". I thank Diana for reminding me. I met 5 people during that walk who I know are on the Forum. Enrica (healthytoo) and her husband in the Cathedral at SDP when she turned around from the pew in front of me and said she recognised me from my avatar! There were another English couple that I met on the way up the mountain from Saint Jean on May 10th. They recognised my forum patch and we had a conversation. I am bad at names but I think she may have been called Jayne. If you guys read this please let me now how it went for you?
