The fastest way to get to st jean pied de port from biarritz airport

Starting my Camino April 2017
Time of past OR future Camino
SJPDP in April 2017
Hi all.

Hopefully someone can help me out here.. This is my first camino and i'm so excited but sooo nervous too.. (is this normal)

This will be my first time away on my own and i'm nearing 50!

I am flying to Paris on the 10 April 17 and then from Paris to Biarritz.. I land in Biarritz at 9pm and so i'm not sure of the quickest way to get to my hostel for that night, which i have booked. I've also just emailed them to ask if my arrival time is OK as i'm assuming ill be an hour away and so wont get to st jean until approx 10pm.

Hopefully i meet other pilgrims on the flight were we can share a cab..

Thanks anyone who can help..

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
At 9PM (2100) your only option is taxi. Even with a taxi, your arrival time in SJPdP will likely be closer to 2300 than 2200.

If you can change your booking ... it is suggested that you find accommodation in Bayonne and travel to SJPdP in the AM.

The first SNCF train from Bayonne to SJPdP leaves at 0745 and arrives 0845 ... lots of time to get to Roncesvalles same day.

Jules67: You are starting your walk the same day as I am. There is another pilgrim named Matt that I know is arriving in Biarritz after the last train that night. He is contemplating a ride on expressburicott and would appreciate a person to share the fee. I will let him know about you and you can be expecting a message from him. I think that it may be difficult to get anything that late in the evening. Hope to see along the way Buen Camino!

Sorry, not if you pass through the pilgrims office and much less so if you are not 100% fit/trained. I would just enjoy a nearly full day in SJPdP and walk the next day. Buen Camino, SY

Thanks Gregory for your reply and really pleased someone else is starting the same day as me. Yes i will definitely share with Matt to keep the costs down, great idea.
I'm not sure if i will make it to the hostel in Biarritz now though?

Hostel in Biarritz? Your title suggested you were trying to make SJPdP.

Yeah, there should be a taxi to take you to your hostel in Biarritz.

Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
