I've bought my train ticket for Pamplona today and at the same time acquired a 'Tarjeta Dorada' for 5 euros which entitled me to a tremendous reduction in the cost of the ticket.
The Tarjeta Dorada is for Golden Oldies, I'm afraid you have to be over 60. (It's funny how I admit to my age now I can get financial advantage.) I don't know whether you have to be resident in Spain, I can't find any info that says so, but you do have to go to a train station or a travel agent, but if any other golden youngies need to travel by train in Spain it is worth trying for. I got 40% off the price of my ticket. :D
