Portuguese state airline TAP has said it plans to launch a flight linking the northern Portuguese city of Porto and the north-eastern Brazilian city of Salvador, on 31 March.
Salvador, which has daily flights to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, will have a weekly flight to Porto on a Monday and the return flight is scheduled to take place every Thursday.
Passengers disembarking in Porto who wish to travel on to Galicia will get free transport to the cities of Tuy, Porrino, Vigo, Pontevedra, Caldas de Reys, Santiago de Compostela, Ribavadia and Oren
