Taizé

Time of past OR future Camino
Various 2014-19
Via Monastica 2022
Primitivo 2024
I would like to visit Taizé--either before/after the Camino, or as a (looong) detour off the Jakobsweg as it goes into France. If anyone has done this I'd be interested to hear about it--and also need practical information, such as whether one can stay for a week in midsummer, or whether a booking is necessary, etc etc. Right now just thinking, so whatever information you have it would be useful. Anyone?

Hi Viranani,
Can you PM me your email address? One of our friends stayed in Taize a couple weeks and I can connect you with him.

Thanks everyone! I'd checked the website before I posted but couldn't find what I was looking for, though there were clear directions as to how to get there...will go back and look again. It's good to know I have to book, but I didn't know if they have a programme on if it were possible to go anyway. And thanks, Faith, for the contact...
All this together is most helpful!
[Edit...and 10K? Piece of cake! ]

Taize is a lovely place! Ideally you arrive on a Sunday to follow a week's prayer and contemplation build-up to Friday (Adoration of the Cross) and then on to Sunday.... but I am sure they would welcome you any day. I believe booking is preferable. ML
