Stop Over in Bordeaux?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Les, we are staying 3 nights in Bordeaux before we start our Camino Frances on the 26 April 2015. We breed Bazadais cattle here in Australia so we are hoping to visit some farms around the region there. Thank you for your post. We look forward to enjoying all that is on offer to see. Cheers.

Hello - I hope you have a wonderful time! Bordeaux is a fabulous city... great for shopping too! This region is of course wine country so most of the fertile land is given over to grapes and vines... Saint Emilion isn't too far for a day trip http://www.saint-emilion-tourisme.com/uk/ and if you like seafood take a trip to Cap Feret and the little villages en route to the cap... beautiful place to spend a few hours! http://www.lege-capferret.com/

Have a great trip!

wonderful, thank you. I was just browsing Bordeaux hotels and trying to decide on location for my (too brief) stop there on my way to St. Jean.

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
I'll be there sometime in October, but it's right on the Camino for me--the Voie de Tours.

BTW, any recommendations for a good sporting goods shop if I need to replace things by then?

There is a decathlon out of town and in the town centre with a good range of everything and there is also one shop in particular that is more specialist... very knowledgable staff - http://www.sports-aventure.fr/index.cfm

have a great trip!

Hi I'm travelling to Burgos to walk part of the Camino Frances next year and my options seems to be fly into Santander and coach to Burgos, or fly into Madrid, then coach to Burgos. Don't think...
Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
