Camino Frances, St. Jean to Muxia, Sept 2019
We walked Leon to Santiago and then on to Finisterre in April 2016. Planning to commence in St. Jean in September 2019 and walk to Santiago and then Muxia. No intention to return to Finisterre. Can anyone give me information on how to complete the section from Santiago to Muxia? I remember the fork in the road just past Hospital where you could go to Finisterre or Muxia. Is there accommodation on the way to Muxia after Olveiroa? Or can it be done in a day? Appreciate any thoughts.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
There is a wonderful Xunta albergue at Dumbria 9 or 10km after Olveiroa. Probably the best Xunta albergue I have ever been in. Truly recommended!

Also, when passing through Senande (6.8km after Dumbria) there is cafe A Coxa run by a guy called Jesus. His mum Pilar makes the best omelette in Spain. You have to ask for it but you will not be disappointed!

The way to Muxia is well marked so no worries. If going to Muxia I usually stop in Negreira, Santa Marina then Dumbria (or more slowly by stopping in Olveiroa too)!

Olveiroa - Muxia can be done in a day if you want (29.3km), but I do like Dumbria.

Buen Camino!
