Hello --

Spain will be reopening for vaccinated tourists as of 7 June, including for Americans. I'm ready to walk another camino this summer, and am thinking of walking the Primitivo from Oviedo. Where do things stand as far as the albergues? I imagine that many of them have remained closed down due to the lack of pilgrims, but with Spain being accessible again.....I'm thinking of walking in September, and would definitely like to complete another camino for the benefit of the Holy Year 2021 -- but there has to be open albergues along the way......

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I suggest that you check out the following thread in the Camino Primitivo forum.:

At this moment, many albergues are already open or will be open soon. For sure by september all albergues who can be open (which is nearly all of them), will be open. Not known yet is the percentage of beds which will be allowed to use by then, and how busy it will be.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
