An interesting story of the famous bridge. The Saint of Conques is Saint Foy. The Saints may be sensitive about who gets credit for their works. Nice writing.

Sainte Foy [Santa Fe] can be translated Saint Faith in English. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Faith
