Any suggestions for safety and/or any other Pilgrims leaving on the same day to share the walk out of Porto?

Don't worry! I'm going to start from 12th May too! We may meet some time. This route is safe. Good luck

Group of four from South Carolina leaving Porto on Friday, May 6. Highly recommend staying at La Cala Inn in Oia for 20 euros a night including breakfast...... no bunks, very clean and new, free use of washing machine.

We leave Porto the same day. Our group of four is down down to two, courtesy of Covid. Perhaps we will see you on the way. Our first stop will being Perafita.

Let us pick up your suitcase once you arrive in Europe....
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Not sure which route you will take, but we did the Coastal to Caminha. We were in Póvoa do Varzim a little over a week ago and the tourist bureau advised that the municipal albergue is closed. You would want to make appropriate arrangements.
