Hi!

Has anyone walked from Sobrado to O Pedrouzo in one go?

I find trail maps skipping Arzúa which means Boimorto is the only village on that route and you have to walk a lot along the motorway. On the bright side you cut a few km by doing that. Is the shortcut easy to follow, easy terrain etc?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I don’t think the route requires any motorway walking. The Guardia and the Policia Nacional would probably take a dim view of that sort of thing. There isn’t a “official” route but there is a perfectly viable one. Most of it is along a national highway without much traffic.

Hi, the walk to Boimorto is easy, but is mostly along a two lane road. We've done it twice. Really a lovely walk with lightish traffic.

In an earlier post on the Camino Verde forum, under the Primitivo forum, I posted a response where I included two images of the split to go to Boimorto vs the Arzua route. Check that out for the deets.

The section along the motorway the next day is along side it on a dirt access road. Easy walking, but no shade. It's maybe 5 miles of the motorway until you get to the Frances right at the airport.

Consider staying at Casa Rico De Medin 3km past Boimorto. Great place with one of the best meals we've had on all of our caminos.

Have fun!

I did this last year, it's very easy but once you get on the shortcut there are few services so bring snacks and lunch. It's all flat. My recollection is that it was all paved road but very little car traffic. I ended up walking to Lavacola (47km) because I don't like OPedrouzo.

Thank you all! I chose the shortcut to O Pedrouzo. As you say it was all easy but without services. For me the paved road was fine, I was fed up with mud and wet terrain from Lugo - Sobrado
