Hi folks,
Has anyone any experience of sleeping under the stars (not bringing a tent) on the Camino del Norte.I don't think I could handle the crowds in the Alberges as I'm a very light sleeper.I'm going for the last 2 weeks of August.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Johnny.

The Mundicamino website for the Camino del Norte lists camping sites under Hospedajes. As other Forum threads have mentioned, albergues often allow camping, and bedding down quietly to the side of the trail is rarely noticed. Kaybee's blog described many nights in church doorways with her dog without being rousted. There is a big fire danger in much of Spain, so an open fire could draw unwanted attention. Have fun (and no rain).
