While looking at someone's packing list,
I (female) came across a link to men's undershorts with a zippered pocket for $30.

They work great as unisex undies. I got a 4-pack (4 colors and a printed design) from Amazon for $17!! I ordered the XXXL (I wear women's XXL for tops etc) and was surprised at how small they looked. They stretch a LOT. I gave a pair to a gal pal who wears size Small and they fit her fine.

And now I've ordered another pack to give to a couple of guys in the Med/Large size range. Still ordered XXXL. (Just checked the inner label and they say 4XL. Same size (when held together) as mine.

The fabric feels like nylon/Spandex.

The pocket is big enough to hold a passport. But don't thing sitting down would be comfortable. I have gone through airport security with a credit card and some bills with no problems. My titanium hip usually sets of the alarms and I get the wand passed over me. Plus I've been through the body scanner. Highly recommend.
(Oops looks as if the price went up to $23. Still a bargain.)

DOLIROX
$22.99

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
These are a great idea, especially if you're wearing a hiking skirt and don't want your thighs to chafe.

The legs are short. For that I bought some turquoise men's (again!) tight, long (above the knee) underwear.

Was going to wait until i located them before posting. Think I found green also. I got this idea from a guy who hikes in a kilt.

Paid $12-15 in TJMAXX/Marshall's/Ross.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
As you hang your unmentionables out to dry on the albergue clothsline, do be ready for some...ah...well...that is...interesting comments.

This appears to be a commercial post. Did we not just see one earlier from you for a different product??

I think that one is actually an older one and has been resurrected by a recent comment. The mods have stated that they have been in contact with the OP and explained the forum rules regarding overly commercial posts ;-) So lets just give a dose of forgiveness and move on ;-) Buen Camino, SY

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I found that the women's knickers I wore ended up driving me insane with 'creep' and I eventually bought a couple of pairs of similar men's underpants in Spain, which were very comfortable. They didn't have the zipped pocket though, I would have loved that!

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
No more commercial than any other products we recommend to each other on the forum IMO.
Perhaps, but there is a world of difference between sharing information with someone who is seeking advice and what is happening here. This post is about a single product where that information is being pushed at us, and unfortunately it begins to look to me a lot like commercial promotion of that product.

I think it is part of the value of this forum that we share information about products that have worked for us on our pilgrimages, and it is clearly difficult to do that without talking about specific products, brands or even retailers. It clearly helps those who are seeking the advice of experienced pilgrims to prepare themselves, whether it is for their first or even some subsequent pilgrimage. Even where members share their enthusiasm for a particular product or brand, information about the broader range of available products is shared to balance the discussion.

And, of course, some members will have relevant experience to share from similar endeavours they have been engaged in even before they have done the camino.

This is not the circumstance here. Inasmuch as it is about touting a single product, it is my view is that retailers could and should use their own advertising budgets for that. If they want to pay Ivar to run their ads, that would be a reasonable thing to do - they don't need our assistance doing that for free.

Regarding the zippered pocket: after seeing this idea mentioned previously on this forum, I decided to make my own. There is no need for a zipper. Just cut a pocket from an old pair of knickers, using the elasticated waistband as the top of the pocket and sew it in place. It fits snugly against the "new" pair on top of the stomach. You must use full size knickers, not bikini type briefs!
